The Career Interest Profile asks how Handshake can help, industries you may be interested in, and more. To optimize the information Handshake shares on your homepage, at least answer the following sections but completing in full is best!

1. What type of job are you looking for? (i.e., Full-Time, Part-Time, Internship, On-Campus)
2. Location
3. What job roles are you interested in? (e.g., Market Research Analyst, Digital Marketing Intern, Laboratory Technologist, etc.)

Note: It’s OK if your interests change, just update your profile. 

1. Click Jobs in the upper-left corner of the screen.  
2. This will lead to the job search page. For more information on using the filters on this page, check out Searching for Jobs and Internships. 
3. Once you've selected the desired filters if you want to receive alerts when more jobs like this are posted, save the search!

​Note: You are only saving the criteria for the search, not the results. The jobs meeting your saved search criteria may change daily. 

• Change this setting at any time under Settings & Privacy. Choose the Account tab and find the checkbox to indicate your preference (Community, Employers, or Private). 
• Elect to hide your GPA even if you have a public profile.
  • Go to your Profile Settings, select “Edit” (small pencil icon) and locate your GPA within the Education field.
  • Check or un-check the box "Hide from employers."
  • Handshake defaults to a public GPA for a public profile unless otherwise indicated.
