At Temple, I served as the VP of "Careers in Color" and Community Engagement Chair of UNICEF. I also blog for the American Red Cross and was a part of the first relaunched cohort of the National Urban League's Business Executive Exchange Program; I'm now a member of NeXT Philadelphia. I presently work as a Corporate Communication Coordinator at Independence Blue Cross, and in the fall of 2024 I'll be moving to the UK for my Master's as the recipient of the U.S. Fulbright Program Award.

What are your career goals?

I hope to become a manager/director in the field of communications at a mission-oriented organization. After developing further industry experience, I'd like to be in the higher education space.

How has the Career Center helped you achieve your career goals?

The Career Center offers resources to navigate future careers, and this has been incredibly useful to my professional journey. The staff truly care about students and wants to help us attain our goals.

What tips do you have for students also navigating their careers?

Who are you, what do you want, and why do you deserve it? This is one of the phrases my personal branding professor said often, and it forced me to pause and consider the answer. Answer the question honestly and you'll start moving in the direction that is right for you. I also recommend interviewing professionals who are in a position you seek; it's great perspective.
